JASON MARSDEN - voice of Chase Young - voiced BINX in Hocus Pocus... I've known about this for a while- but I just wanted to state that before I rant about this new story in my head! GAH! <3
Binx = immortal cat... Chase Young = cat-loving immortal.......????? How could I now make a link? Seriously... ;A; Has anyone else had this thought? Am I alone in this strange head spinning AU? XDD

In any case, have this quick scribble~

Jack had just suffered through one of the WORST days he could possibly imagine...

It started with a tortuously long and boring day at his new school in Salem. He didn't have to wait long before he was dubbed a freak - mostly for dressing up in all black and eyeliner - but also due to the fact that he was a brainiac and made a lot of his teachers furious when he ignored them but was still able to snap a very correct answer their way when they tried to catch him off guard. Even the 'goody-goody' students began to hate him- especially when he tried to ignore a girl who babbled at him after school- Kimiko, she said her name was. But Jack wasn't one to talk to anyone so casually and tried to brush her off- And, of course, she took to offence like a lit match.

Then her little friends rounded on him, snapping him for being rude... Jack told them in no uncertain terms that he thought they were all assholes- so they were even.

Home, a black eye and a severe amount of cover-up later- Jack received the worst news when his Niece turned up on his doorstep demanding he take her out for Halloween in Salem.

Jack hadn't bothered fighting her at that point- she had a way of manipulating adults, so she'd make things worse for him if he didn't. So he did the rounds- quietly ignoring the noise and chaos until Megan snapped him out of his quiet musings by punching him in the arm and stomping back to the house, telling him he wasn't any fun...

Jack snorted and rubbed his face, wincing when brushed the still hidden bruise. He was sitting on a side-walk, down some quite street just down from a cemetery. He kinda wished he'd gone in and found a nice tombstone to lie next to, maybe sleep there to avoid going home… But he’d come here instead…

He lifted his tired red eyes to gaze upon a craggy little cottage - it was falling to pieces, but was obviously something special. Signs surrounded it- a tourist attraction once. A witch was supposed to have lived there - one who collected strange magical devices and was said to kill children to keep herself looking young...

Jack smirked- and apparently there was a way to bring her back. Standing and slapping the dust from his coat, Jack crossed the road slowly, pulling a packet of matches from one pocket...

He broke in with ease, and with only a matches' flame as a source of light, Jack carefully scoured through the little cottage; it was filled with old trinkets, a cauldron, broomsticks... The usual crap... Then, as he spotted the candle he wanted in the corner, he was sidetracked by a book- a red leathery thing with stitches, made of human skin he read... Mouth agape as he passed it, Jack felt himself start to smile. This was starting to get cool...

He walked backward a few steps, still keen to check out the spell book, but finally relented and turned back to the candle- where a black cat with golden eyes yowled at him. Jack shrieked, his hands shaking his match out- leaving him to scramble to light a new one as his heart pounded heavily in his chest, making it hard to breathe-! A new flame appeared and it lit up the space between him and the candle- and that crazy cat which was perched on the stand holding Jack’s prize.

The cat was black--- or... maybe a dark shade of green? Like moss had grown into the fur... but it looked too clean, silken almost... It was a beautiful cat- Jack admitted to himself, then blinked his red eyes and tried to narrow them on the growling creature.

"Hey, get off!"

The cat snicked at him, unimpressed and unmoved.

Jack felt more offended than he had all day and he finally let real anger creep into his voice, "Whatever- Burn if you want-!" and with that Jack reached out with his match--- and the cat promptly stuck it's paw right over the wick- then it opened it's mouth – and a very human and very male voice emerged-

"Don't you DARE!"

Jack blinked for a long moment- then dropped his match. It fell and spun for what felt forever as Jack stared at the black cat, which looked more than a little irritated at itself, like he hadn't meant to speak. Then- the only light source went out the second it hit the ground- and finally the panic snapped free in Jack- and leapt back- crashing into something and falling heavily, hitting his head on something sharp as he went down. Pain shot through his head- and Jack felt his chest tighten as a panic attack swept through him--- No-No-NO! This couldn't happen- he was going to die in his cottage cause he couldn't fucking breathe!

Gasping and clutching his paining chest, shaking all over- Jack tried to calm down--- tried so hard- but he couldn't shake what he'd just seen... and the hot-wet sensation running down his neck wasn't making things any easier!

Then- suddenly - in the pitch black, a paw appeared and pressed itself down on Jack's chest, startling the teenager still. Gold eyes swam into view- and the cat- only inches away, growled at him.

"Stop this... Calm down, right now!"

Jack stared at the cat- his eyes already starting to shutter, black spots fluttering around the edges of his vision- but something about the cat made him stop and concentrate- Breathing- He knew how to do that... Slowly, gasp in a small breath- take your time and... release it... Again- Slowly... Once more...

Soon he was able to take a full cool soothing breath- and it was heaven- Jack finally let himself relax- even with that demon cat still resting its paw on his chest.

"Thanks." Jack breathed out before the silence stretched out too far. He shifted his still shaky eyes as he turned back to the cat- smiling when the thing actually looked surprised and quickly removed its paw from Jack’s chest. Jack laughed breathlessly- but didn't bother to move from his spot on the floor. "I'm Jack..."

"Chase..." the cat offered after a seconds hesitation, it sounded like he was testing his own name - like he'd forgotten how to say it. Straighting up, the cat nodded to Jack in what felt like a form greeting, "I’m Chase Young."

Blah blah blah- I have more in my head/and drawn... WAY more... I even have a way to get Chase back into his human form- <3 You'll see~ I'll do more as I get more time~ ;D
